RICK CAUSEY

Picture

Rick Causey (b. 1954) is a native of Etowah County.  He says, “I have had an interest in art for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I often got into trouble for drawing on surfaces that were not meant for art.  I enjoy working with graphite and charcoal, watercolor, and color pencil. Color pencil is my favorite because of the control. I have experience doing murals and have done several for churches and once for a kids area in a doctor’s office. I have only started entering contests since I retired recently. Several of my pieces have been sold, but mostly I draw for grandkids and friends, which is no charge.  I enjoy drawing animals and pets, mostly in color pencil.  I do still life and people portraits in graphite and charcoal, and land and cityscapes in watercolor. Art has been fun for me, and if I have a pencil in my hand, I am usually drawing.
